Museum of Prehistoric Thera 

Plunge into the ancient history of the island, once called Thera. Here you’ll view artifacts from excavations in Akrotiri including impressive plaster furniture moldings and bronze pottery items.  One of its famous exhibits is a golden statuette of the wild goat.

Archaeological Museum  

The museum has an interesting collection of sculptures, ceramics, statues, small vases and findings from the ancient cemetery of Thera.

Nautical Museum 

This museum is housed in an elegant mansion and displays nautical instruments, shipping documents, parts of ships and a small library.

Folklore Museum

The museum is a private collection of traditional artifacts and is housed in a typical cave house of 1861.

Argyros Mansion 

The Argyros Mansion is an elegant neoclassical house that dates back to 1888. There you’ll find antique wall paintings and traditional furniture.

Museum of Musical Instruments 

Opened in 2010, the museum is dedicated to ancient, Byzantine and Post-Byzantine musical instruments. It houses the personal collection of Christodoulos Halaris, a prominent musician in Greece.
